Deputy Chance’s suspected abuser has been arrested, dog’s mouth was taped shut
LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said they have arrested the teen they believe taped a dog’s mouth shut closed in Lehigh Acres in February.
Deputies found the dog foaming at the mouth, bloody, malnourished, with red electrical tape taped around his mouth. The dog eventually recovered and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office appointed him a deputy. The dog is now known as Deputy Chance.
Investigators were able to pull fingerprints off the electrical tape and matched them to 18-year-old Oscar Lee Thompson III, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
